FAQ

Things christening hosts ask us

+ What can go on the christening label?

Two lines, 24 chars each. Most christenings use line one for the child's name and date (Olivia · Christened 12.04.26) and line two for a short message from godparents or parents (With Love From Your Godparents). The font is our house Playfair italic.

+ Can the godparents sign the gift card?

Yes. The hand-written gift card inside the dispatch box can carry up to 200 characters of message text, including the godparents' signed-from. We hand-write it on a kraft card and tuck it inside, unbranded so it reads as a card from them.

+ Do you do non-religious naming-day favours?

Yes. Same product, same personalisation, language adjusted (Naming Day rather than Christening). The label and pick & mix are identical; we change the suggested wording on the proof.

+ How much do christening favours cost?

Personalised sweet jars from £19.95 per jar at 25+. Sweet cones from £3.95 per cone at 30+. 4-piece fudge favour boxes from £6.95. Volume tiers at 50, 100 and 200 units. Calculator on /favours.

+ How far in advance should I order?

Christenings are usually booked weeks in advance, so order 4-6 weeks before for comfort. Three weeks is workable; under two weeks email us first to confirm capacity.

+ Can the design carry a religious symbol?

Yes. Cross, dove, sacred-heart, ichthus, or a denominational symbol (Catholic, CofE, Orthodox, Methodist) can be added to the label as a small motif beside the typography. Send us the symbol you want, or pick from our standard set on the proof.

+ What about kids at a christening, different favours for them?

Sweet cones are popular for the children's table at christenings. Lower per-favour cost, easier for small hands to hold. Pair with the jars for the adults at the same table.

+ Are the sweets vegetarian / vegan?

Most of our pick & mix is vegetarian, with a strong vegan range. For a fully-vegan christening jar, choose the Vegan preset in /build or message us. The fudge range is made in a kitchen that handles nuts; clean batches available on request.

+ Can you ship direct to the church or the venue?

Yes. Royal Mail Tracked or DPD for larger volume. Hand delivery to Essex postcodes (CM/RM/SS). Tell us the venue address and the christening date at checkout and we time the dispatch.

+ Do you do separate godparent gifts?

Yes. A larger 970ml jar with the godparents' names on the label, paired with a 4-piece fudge favour box, makes a popular thank-you-for-being-godmother / godfather gift. Order alongside the favours and they ship together.
